Fox Valley Academy of Music Youth Concerto Concert

At 1:00pm
on Sunday, April 13th, the Fox Valley Academy of Music Performance
and director, Gina Detienne, will perform a concert of classical favorites.

This
year's Fox Valley Academy Concerto Competition Winner is Taylor Anhalt, oboist
of Oswego. This young oboist will perform Handel’s Oboe Concerto in g minor.  Taylor is a student and active participant in
the music department at Oswego High School. In addition
to Handel’s concerto, the Academy Orchestra will present Brahms’ well-loved Hungarian Dance, No. 5. The Youth
Strings, the Academy’s novice ensemble, will perform the works of other Baroque
and Classical composers.

The Fox
Valley Academy of Music Performance is the umbrella organization for the Fox
Valley Philharmonic. The Philharmonic Orchestra will also perform in concert at
3:00pm.
