Optimist Club Pumpkin Races
The Oswegoland Optimist Club invites EVERYONE to their 4th Annual Pumpkin Race, sponsored by Castle Bank. Register your Pumpkin Racer at 11am the day of the event, races begin at noon. See our website for the official rules, www.oswegooptimists.com, but it's pretty simple:
Carve and Decorate your pumpkin, attach 2 indepndent axles and wheels and race to the finish lines. Cheater pumpkins will be smashed with the "Mallet of Justice" by the Oswego Police Department!!!
Open to kids, adults and businesses. Get a group together and craft the winning racer. Registration is at 11 with the first race at noon. Entry for kids is 3 canned goods (these canned goods are used for the clubs' Family Christmas Project), adults and businesses, $25.
If this is your first year attending the races, we guarantee you will be racing in it next year!
