SUSHI EATING COMPETITION AT SUSHI +

Sushi + Rotary Sushi Bar, the western suburbs first "Kaiten" style sushi restaurant will host their first sushi eating competition Wednesday, November 6. Contestants will compete to see who can eat the most pieces of the restaurant's California roll, made with crab meat, avocado, cucumber and sesame seeds and Spicy Crab roll made with crab meat and spicy mayo. The grand prize will be a $500 Sushi + gift card followed by a $250 gift card for second place and a $100 gift card for third place. 

Customers can sign up on the restaurants Facebook page starting October 18. The restaurant will select 10 contestants at random to participate. The competition consists of two preliminary three minute rounds and one final three minute round. Two winners from each preliminary round will compete in the finals. 

In addition to the final prizes, three $50 gift cards will be awarded for "Best Strategy", "Most Spirited" and "Messiest Eater". Spectators are welcome to cheer on the contestants and enjoy passed appetizers and samples of plum wine. All of the competitors will receive a $20 gift card. Registration will close on Oct. 28.
