CASA Kendall County Giving Tree
In honor of National Child abuse prevention month, CASA Kendall County has presented a “Giving Tree” to the children and parents of Kendall County. The tree is located in the County Health and Human Services Building. All of the items on the tree have been donated by people who care about our community. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Kendall County is a not-for-profit agency which provides volunteer trained advocates to speak up for abused and neglected children in court. These children, sometimes referred to as “the forgotten children”, are victims of crimes committed against them by those closest to them. Often times they are removed from their home and placed with complete strangers. They may be put in new schools and be separated from their siblings and left feeling completely alone. It is the goal of the CASA program to have one advocate per child or family that follows that child throughout the court proceedings. If you are interested in becoming an advocate, you can contact CASA Kendall County at (630) 553-8660.
