Culver's Hosting Benefit for Churchill Teacher with ALS

Kerry Anne Engdahl, Kindergarten Teacher at Churchill Elementary School, was recently diagnosed with the motor neuron disease ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

Mrs. Engdahl is an outstanding teacher who is committed to continuing her service to our students and learning community while undergoing treatment. The outpouring of caring and concern from our community has been overwhelming.

The "Always Laugh and Smile" Day at Culver's is one way we can show our support for Kerry Anne and her family. Red “Always Laugh and Smile” wrist bands are available for $3.00 in the Churchill Office, and will be available for purchase at Culver's as well.

You may also show your support and join the Always Laugh and Smile Team at the ALS walk scheduled for May 21st at Cantigny Park in Wheaton. Please visit www.alsachicago.org for more information on how to join the walk, or support a member of the team

In addition, a benefit fund has been established at Old Second bank, and donations may be brought there, with checks made out to "Kerry Anne Engdahl."
