Oswego Police to Take Part in 'Cop on Rooftop' Event

Annual fundraiser benefits the Special Olympics of Illinois.

Law enforcement will be staking out the rooftops of Dunkin Donuts on Friday, May 30, and Oswego police will be among them.

Oswego officers will participate in this year's Cop on Rooftop event from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dunkin Donuts, 2420 Route 34.

Police are asking residents to  come out and support the efforts of your Oswego Police Officers as they raise awareness and money for Special Olympics.

For more information, please contact Officer Cherese Spears or Connie Jackson at 630-551-7300.

Check out the Oswego Police Department Facebook page for a schedule of who will be on the "roof stakeout" as it gets closer to the event.

Last year's event raised more than $1,300, police said.
