Quilt Raffle Donates $1,600 Between Park District, Little White School Museum

The quilt is made by the Quilter's Dozen Club of Oswego.

The following release was issued by the Little White School Museum:

Each year, members of the Quilters Dozen Quilt Club of Oswego hand craft a quilt that is raffled off during the annual PrairieFest community celebration.

The proceeds are then split between the Oswegoland Park District, to defray PrairieFest expenses, and the Oswegoland Heritage Association, to assist with the operations of the Little White School Museum.

This year, Quilters Dozen President Susie Shaddle (center) presented checks for $800 each to the park district’s Cindy Benson and the museum’s Bob Stekl. The Quilters Dozen meets each Thursday at the museum. For more information, call Quilters Dozen Treasurer Sue Matile at 630-554-8743.
