Quilters Raise Cash for PrairieFest

From Little White School Museum

The Quilters Dozen Quilting Club of Oswego donated $500 to the Oswegoland Park District to help defray the costs of this year’s PrairieFest community celebration.

On Thursday, July 24, Sue Matile, treasurer of the Quilters Dozen, presented the check to park district representative Cindy Benson.

The quilters earned the money through their annual PrairieFest Quilt raffle. Earlier this summer, the club donated $500 in raffle proceeds to Oswego’s Little White School Museum.

The club meets at the museum, 72 Po;k Street, every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information on the quilting club, call Matile at 630-554-8743.
