Group Collecting Donations for Oswego Family Recovering from Fire

The house fire caused over $100,000 worth of damage to an Oswego home earlier this week.

Earlier this week an Oswego home suffered over $100,000 in damages when a fire broke out in the kitchen.

No one in the family was home during the fire, but several cats passed away. The family dog was rescued by firefighters.

The family is currently unable to live in their home, so the Oswego community is stepping up to make the transition to temporary housing this weekend as seamless as possible.

A group of friends and Oswego community members are collecting supplies for the family from now through the end of next week at Prairie Point Elementary.

At this time,  they are collecting toiletries, paper goods, cleaning supplies, and other basic pantry essentials for the family.
