A little confused by the headline?

It's actually rather simple. Thompson Jr. High is doing their annual Toys for Tots collection for children in the community.

The collection is part of the Oswego Fire Protection District drive, where 10 students from each junior high are then invited to help back the fire truck and drive it to the station, where all the toys are collected and students celebrate with a breakfast.

To motivate Thompson Jr. High students to collect toys, several teachers have volunteered to dye their hair if the students collect 550 or more new/unwrapped toys for the drive.

Teachers who have volunteered include: Mr. Craig, Mrs. Baun, Mr. Zimmerman, Ms. Liewald, Mrs. McElroy, Mrs. Zimmerman, Mr. Desiderio, Mrs. Schlechte, Ms. Shaw, and Mrs. Robinson.

To increase donations, Thompson Jr. High is collecting toys during their Nov. 25 basketball game against Traughber. Anyone who brings in a toy can participate in extra activities. See attached flyer for details.
