“Home for the Holidays” Christmas Walk at Mason Square

Mason Square merchants host annual Christmas Walk on Dec. 8.

The merchants at Mason Square will welcome the holiday season with their annual Christmas Walk, “Home for the Holidays” at Mason Square, on Saturday, December 8 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 

Prior to, on Friday, December 7 stop by the AmericInn Lodge & Suites for complimentary photos and cookies with Santa Claus from 6 to 9 p.m.

On Dec. 8, Santa and Mrs. Claus will lead the parade from Mason Square North to Mason Square beginning at 10:30 a.m.

A horse-drawn trolley will provide transportation between Mason Square and Mason Square North, and the kiddie train depot will be located in front of World Champion Tae Kwon Do.

Shuttle bus transportation to Autumn Leaves Memory Care will depart from the AmericInn Lodge & Suites where you can enjoy an “Elves Workshop” with Make-and-Take Reindeer food, create your own Letter to Santa, cookie decorating, an Elf Hat craft, and a hot cocoa bar.

For the children there will be pony rides, an ice sculpting demonstration at Jimmy John’s between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Culver’s between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., and enjoy refreshments all along the way.

The Bednarcik and Thompson Junior High choirs will be caroling around the Square. WBIG AM1280 will host their radio home shopping show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the AmericInn Lodge & Suites.

Have your “Home for the Holidays” Passport stamped at each participating merchant to have a chance to win part of $3,500 in prizes. Have the BONUS area of your Passport stamped at Autumn Leaves Memory Care to be entered to WIN an iPad!

Print a copy of the passport through Oswego 308's website here and find more information. Blank passports will also be available at all participating merchant locations.

Heartland Blood Center’s mobile coach will be accepting blood donations from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and will be located in the Mason Square North parking lot across from Edward Jones. To schedule your appointment to donate, please call Nancy at (630) 551-0625 between the hours of 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., or (630) 253-6792 after 4:30 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome! Photo ID required.

Savvy Fashions and More and Allstate Insurance are sponsors of the Walter and Connie Payton Toy Drive. Unwrapped/non-violent toys can be dropped off at their locations through December 8. Rondi’s S.E.L.F. Fitness will become Santa’s Workout Shop! There will be fun, winter games like the “Santa Plank and Sleigh Sit” and “Snow Ball Toss,” and gifts for the kids to make-and-take. Warm beverages will be served.

Rondi’s Elves are “nurturing” a special Giving Tree for a local shelter too. Participate in any of the games, bring in new hats, gloves, scarves, or a non-perishable food item, and you’ll be entered into raffles for some awesome gifts!
