Little Elves Holiday Shopping Event at Old Post School
When: Dec. 1, 9 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
What: A great opportunity for your children to shop in a safe and fun environment. We will have elves available to guide the children with their choices, keep them on budget, and even help them wrap up their gifts. Please come and join in on the fun! As always, volunteers are greatly needed (junior high age or older).

TriCity Family Services' 4th Annual Snowflake Shuffle 5K!
When: Dec. 1, 6:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Where: Mill Creek Clubhouse and Subdivision, 39W525 Herrington Dr., Geneva
What: Volunteer roles include but are not limited to: Check-In, Food setup, Marking the course, Working finish line, Directing people and cheering on the course, Helping with award ceremony, Driving the clean-up vehicle, Helping Santa Claus with his line of cute children.

The Humanitarian Service Boxing Project
When: Dec. 8, 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Where: 465 Randy Road, Carol Stream
What: Help us sort and box up donated gifts to needy children and senior citizens!
Notes: Request volunteers stay the entire time and be 18 years or older.
Brunch with Santa
When: Dec. 8, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Where: 150 W. Illinois Ave, Aurora
What: Arrive 10:30am, help with cleanup until about 1pm, Seeking Food Servers, Craft Leaders, People to help run games.
Kendall County Food Pantry
When: As needed (call to see available opportunities).
Where: 1204A Deer Street, Yorkville
What: Volunteers help organize, gather and provide food and clothing to our clients. They help raise funds and awareness about the Kendall County Food Pantry.

Plainfield Interfaith Food Pantry
When: As needed (Call to check distribution dates and availability)
Where: 22525 W. Lockport St., Plainfield
What: Food pickup, receiving scheduled food deliveries, local food pickup (vehicle required), small items/food drive pickup, stocking and rotating food and dry goods, packing bags/boxes for client distribution, computer data entry, interpreting/translating, traffic control on distribution days, receiving/sorting donations, maintenance, cleaning, assisting with carrying food to cars on distribution dates
