A District that Sings Together...

School is back in session for the Oswego District 308 students. This school year literally began with a wonderful note. For the first time EVER, choir singers from both Oswego East High School and Oswego High School combined their talents in a mini concert during the District's convocation event. As a parent volunteer and member of the OE newsletter team, I had the privilege to witness this momentous occasion. Directed by Mr. Barsch (OEHS) and Mr. Tieri (OHS), this talented group of singers delivered a memorable performance which received high praises. The roaring applause of the over 1,900 staff and faculty members took over the Oswego East main gymnasium after each song. Teachers were delighted to see and hear their former students perform.

Our small town has TWO wonderful High Schools, with a lot to offer to our community, and both of them deserve our full support. Working together has always been a key to success and this school year started on the right note (pun intended)! A District that sings together...

Not only the choir combined forces but also the bands and even the LRC's are running a joint reading program this year!

As a choir parent and an Oswego resident, I am very proud! For your listening pleasure I leave you with the Oswego School District's high school combined chorus in the delightful renditions of the Star Spangled Banner and Ask Me No More.
