Friends Increasing Autism Awareness
Fourth grade friends are increasing autism awareness and sharing the message of friendship to others.
Sean O'Hara and Jason Blair are in the 4th grade and are best friends.
As part of their disability awareness badge for scouts, they completed a presentation on autism for their Cub Scout Pack. The response was so favorable, that the boys began to think even bigger. How can they share their message with others?
They've now arranged to present to their classes at their respective schools; Lakewood Creek Elementary School and Southbury Elementary School. Their goal, help other kids understand that kids with Autism Spectrum Disorders are just kids. They can be great friends and support others.

All that is needed is understanding and acceptance. Sean and Jason are living proof of this, as Jason is 1 of the 54 boys in the U.S. that is diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
When you see them together, all you see is two friends having a great time. Wouldn't the world be an amazing place if more people could acknowledge and accept people's differences as these boys have.
