Buffalo Wild Wings to Hold Fundraiser for Lederman Family This Weekend

Oswego's Buffalo Wild Wings on Douglas Road will donate 15 percent of all proceeds on Saturday and Sunday to the family of Eric Lederman, the 12-year-old who lost his life in April. They will also retire his baseball and football jerseys.

If you’re planning to bring the family out to eat this weekend, we have good news for you. If you bring them to in Oswego, you can help the family of Eric Lederman at the same time.

On Saturday and Sunday, Buffalo Wild Wings at 1550 Douglas Road will donate 15 percent of all proceeds to the Lederman family. Additionally, on Saturday at 7 p.m., Eric Lederman’s Oswego Pony Baseball and Oswego Youth Tackle Football jerseys will be retired in a special ceremony.

Lederman, 12, of Oswego, was a catcher for the Oswego Panthers Orange 12U baseball team, and he after an accident at a game in Wheaton. He was warming up before the game, and was struck in the neck with a ball. It was a tragedy that shook the Oswego community, and hundreds , and to help his family.

The Oswego High School Panthers , 2, in a ceremony on the OHS field last month. Lederman’s Pony League baseball and Youth Tackle Football jerseys will be on permanent display at Buffalo Wild Wings during and after this weekend.

Buffalo Wild Wings has reserved space for all Oswego Youth Tackle Football, Oswego Pony League and Kane County Bronco League teams throughout the weekend. Restaurant staff asks that you avoid calling during the 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. lunch rush and the 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. dinner rush.

Buffalo Wild Wings will open early at 10 a.m. on both days, and remain open until 1 a.m. on Saturday and midnight on Sunday.  

The Oswego Baseball and Softball Association, in conjunction with Oswego Youth Tackle Football, has set up a memorial fund. Monetary donations can be made to the fund at Allied First Bank, 3201 Orchard Road, Oswego, IL 60543. Make donations payable to "Eric Lederman Memorial Fund."
