Photos: PrairieFest Day Three

Here's a look at some of the highlights of Saturday's PrairieFest, including a performance by the Gin Blossoms.

What can we say about Saturday at PrairieFest? This was the biggest day of the Oswegoland Park District festival, and though the wind was enough to knock you down at some points during the day, a good time was had by all.

On Saturday, two teams competed in the Oswego Fire Department Bucket Brigade, which moved to the festival grounds for the first time. Local teen band Cash Inn and covers outfit Generations rocked the main stage, before the main event – the Gin Blossoms – closed things out with a set of jangly pop-rock. (That is, until the rain and lightning cut things short.)

And Colin Sullivan of Montgomery may have himself a world record. The 21-year-old balanced an 8-ft. ladder on his chin for two and a half minutes in the East View Kindergarten Center gym, and if Guinness approves it, he’ll have one for the record books. Look for a full story and video on that on Monday.
