Second Born Organizing PrairieFest Beautiful Baby Contest

The PraireFest beautiful baby contest will be an opportunity for parents to show off their pride and joy(s)! The contest will be open to all from birth up to those under the age of 4 by June 1, 2012.

All entries must be dropped off at , 25 West Jefferson St., Oswego, IL 60543 by June 7th, 2012 – before 4pm. To enter, bring only a 4 x 6 photo to Second Born Consignment and the completed entry form. Entry forms can be obtained by visiting Second Born Consignment or by visiting www.secondbornconsign.com  and clicking on “Baby Contest."

Write the child’s full name, date of birth, the parent(s) name, and daytime contact number on the back of the photo. Photos will be disqualified if they are the wrong size or missing the required information. There can be only one entry per child and only one child pictured in the photo.

The photo does not have to be taken by a professional photographer. Photos will not be returned and will become the property of the sponsor. The baby/child must be clothed both in the photo and day of the judging. 

There is a $10 entry fee per child ($5 for each additional child). The check should be made payable to Second Born Consignment. All proceeds benefit the Oswego Optimist Club.

Photos will be categorized by the current age of the child and the photos “must” be current. Entrants are categorized by the child’s birth date. Out of the 6 age categories there will be five finalists in each with a total of 30 finalists. The preliminary judging will be by photo only.

Finalists will be notified by phone before or no later than Saturday, June 9. During Prairie Fest the 30 finalists will join together at the children’s tent June 16 at 10am for the final awards and drawing. All 30 finalists will be in a random drawing for a $250 savings bond; in addition, all finalists will receive an award.
