Barbara Annette Loomis, 83, was a Member of the Oswego Presbyterian Church

Visitation for Barbara Loomis will be on Tuesday, May 21 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m.

Barbara Annette (Munson) Loomis, 83 years, of Oswego, IL, peacefully passed away on May 16, 2013 at Bickford Cottages of Oswego.  She was born July 28, 1929 in Waltham, IL, the daughter of the late Arthur and Clara Munson. 

Barbara grew up on a farm in Waltham, IL and graduated from Mendota High School.  She was united in marriage to Richard Loomis on April 7, 1956.  She and her husband moved to Oswego in 1958 where they raised their family.  She was a member of the Oswego Presbyterian Church.

Barbara is survived by her children, Jim Loomis of Plano, IL, Ann (Mark) Cotter of Naperville, IL, Jane DeMont of Sandwich, IL, David Loomis of Sandwich, IL, grandson, Ryan Cotter of Naperville, IL, sister Louise Robinson of Peru, IL, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, brothers Alan and Bruce Munson, and nephew Henry Munson.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 9:30 -11 AM with the memorial service at 11:30 AM at the Oswego Presbyterian Church, 1976 Illinois Route 25, Oswego, IL.  The service will be officiated by Reverend Leon Aalberts.  Burial will be private. 

Memorials may be directed to either the Wayside Cross Ministries, 215 E. New York St., Aurora, IL 60505 or The Kendall County Food Pantry, 1204A Deer Street, Yorkville, IL 60560.
