Brona Lu Pierce, 81, Worked for Oswego 308 for 30 Years

Brona Lu Pierce, 81 years, of Oswego, IL died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in Aurora, IL.  She was born August 6, 1932 in Oswego, IL the daughter of the late William C and Florence nee Weis Ode.

Brona was a life member of the Church of the Good Shepherd and the Oswego American Legion Auxiliary Unit #675 both in Oswego, IL.  

Over the years she was very active in the American Legion Auxiliary locally as the Unit President, Past President and Secretary, and as Past 12th District President and Past 2nd Division President, prior to her retirement she work as accounts payable for Oswego School District 308 for 30 years.

Brona is survived by her husband Oliver L Pierce, (whom she married on March 6, 1953 celebrating 60 years of marriage this year.) Four children Deanna (Mark) Steinke of Yorkville, IL, Steve Pierce of Oswego, IL, Sandy (Jim) Ramey of Oswego, IL, Randy (Colleen) Pierce of Yorkville, IL, six grandchildren Kim (Josh) Woodson, Matt (Jessica) Ramey, Gary (Vanessa) Pierce, Eric Pierce, Michelle (Justice) Neale, Stephanie Pierce, nine great grandchildren, two sisters Joan (Cecil) Adams of Oswego, IL, Pat Arthur of Verona, IL, also several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 pm at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY  1801 Douglas Road  Oswego, IL.  

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by burial at the Oswego Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Oswego American Legion Auxiliary Unit #675  19 W Washington St  Oswego, IL 60543.
