Candlelight Vigil Being Held for Eric Lederman One Year After his Death

Eric Lederman, 12, was killed in a baseball accident in April 2012 in Wheaton while playing with his team. A candlelight vigil will be held in Wheaton to remember him.

Just about a year ago, a beautiful smile was dimmed in Oswego.

Eric Lederman, 12, was killed in a baseball accident on April 11, 2012 while playing with his team in Wheaton. He was a catcher for the Panthers Orange 12U team and was struck in the neck with a baseball before the game started..

The community has come together to support the Lederman family, with services,fundraisers and beautiful tributes.

Now, for the one year anniverary of Eric's death, the community can come together once more.

Eric's family is hosting a candlelight vigil on Friday, April 12th from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at Atten Park in Wheaton on Field #19, 1720 S. Wiesbrook, Wheaton.

There will be presentations of poems, songs and memories to remember Eric and his infectious smile.
