Judith Sue Ruffolo, 71, Collected Cookbooks

A visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Judith Sue Ruffolo, of Oswego, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. She was 71. 

Mrs. Ruffolo was born Sept. 20, 1942 in Buffalo, NY, to parents Jerome and Clara Sue nee Jonas Minikowski, who died earlier. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and was an avid reader and collector of cookbooks. 

She is survived by her husband, Matthew Ruffolo; three children, Steven (Kathryn) Ruffolo of Joliet, Scott (Lisa) Ruffolo of Plainfield and Andrea (Raymond) Bober of Aurora; seven grandchildren, Vincent, Erin, Salvatore, Lillian, Sarah, Matthew and Kellen; and many friends.

Her parents, her brother Jerome and an infant sister died earlier. 

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Dunn Family Funeral Home, 1801 Douglas Rd. in Oswego. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. John Ouper at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass in Oswego. Entombment will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
