Obituary: In Loving Memory of Richard E. Long

Richard Long served the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Richard E Long, age 80, of Calumet City, IL died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. 

He was born March 10, 1932 in Manteno, IL and was the son of the late Leo L and Jane nee Collins Long.  He served his country honorably with the US Army during the Korean Conflict.  

Survivors include a daughter Lois (Lance) Brisben of Mundelein , IL, two sons Mark (Linda) Long of Aurora, IL, William Long of Heyworth, IL; three grandchildren Josephine and Genevieve Long, Seamus Brisben; a sister Patricia Novakowski of Whiting, IN, also several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alice Elaine Long; siblings Leo L Long, Jr, Ellsworth Long, Eulala McBroom, Katherine Long, James Long, John Long, Joseph Long and Mary Long.  

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 2:00 until a wake service at 5:00 PM at the Dunn Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL.  For additional information 630/554-8484.
