Robert J. White, 78, Served with the US Navy During the Korean Conflict

A gathering will be held on Friday, March 22 at 4 p.m. for the family and friends of Bob White.

Robert J. White, age 78, of Montgomery, IL died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL.  He was born September 16, 1934 in Garden City, MI the son of the late George G. and Nora I. nee Pummill White.

Bob served his country honorably with the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.  Prior to his retirement he was employed as an air traffic controller since 1976. 

His lifelong hobby and love turned into his favored fishing charter business on Lake Michigan "King Fisherman".

He was a member of the Montgomery Memorial VFW Post, Yorkville American Legion Post and the Chicago Sportfishing Association of Chicago, IL.

He is survived by his wife Stephanie, three daughters Caroline (Richard) Calvin of Seneca, IL, Mary Maher of Montgomery, IL, Catie (Jeff) Harrison of Naperville, IL, a son Mark (Denise) White of North Bend, WA; five grandchidren Malia Cole, Alex and Sam White, Kathryn and Hannah Maher; two great grandchildren Jaden and Ryah Boudreau.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Johanna White, grandson Ryan Boudreau, sister Mary Kochensparger and brother Charles White.

A gathering of family/friends will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 Douglas Rd  Oswego, IL.
