William Clarence "Bill" Weis, 82, Served with the Marines During the Korean Conflict

William Clarence “Bill” Weis, 82 years, of Yorkville, IL died Sunday, October 27, 2013 at The Tillers in Oswego, IL. He was born June 23, 1931 in Aurora, IL the son of the late Fred A and Lena nee Grommes Weis.

Bill served his country honorably with the USMC during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Aurora Moose Lodge #400 in Aurora, IL and was an avid bridge player for many years. Prior to his retirement in 1986 he was employed at Western-electric as an engineer.

Bill is survived by two sons Paul (Irene) Weis of Yorkville, IL, William G Weis of Quitman,MS; three granddaughters, several great grandchildren; sister Shirley (Rev Ed)Kurth of Pewaukee, WI, two brothers Robert (Marian) Weis of Oswego, IL, Herb (Peggy) Weis of Aurora, IL, also nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean nee Monahan Weis.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 Douglas Rd Oswego, IL. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church 620 So Fifth St Aurora, IL.

Military honors by the USMC will be given after the funeral mass. Cremation will take place followed by burial of the remains at a later date Mount Olivet Cemetery in Aurora, IL. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association 208 South LaSalle St, Suite 1500 Chicago, IL 60604.

The Weis family wishes to extend a grateful thank you to the Saxon Family and the Caring Staff of The Tillers in Oswego, IL for the excellent caring given to the loved one for the past nine years.
