Christmas walk displayed blatant sexism and objectification of women

Was I the ONLY person offended by the young girls on display like merchandise at Jackie's downtown?  The woman on "live display" reminded me of the 'red light' district in Amsterdam.  This is 2013 people!  There are better ways to advertise your dresses than putting young girls behind glass to be ogled by passer-by's.  Truly disappointing.

I completely, totally, and wholeheartedly agree. There was zero adult supervision, and the girls were soaking up the attention and becoming increasingly suggestive in their poses. It's bad enough when it's on Instagram. Did we have to see duck faces from gorgeous girls in otherwise really pretty dresses.

That's not new. It was there last year, too. The real problem is with the parents who allowed their daughters to participate.

It seems to me that the girls chosen to pose in the window and advertise the dresses at Jackie's should have been more carefully vetted on their maturity level. There is nothing inherently wrong with live models - certain rules need to be explained and if the females don't abide by them they should be asked to step down. Why is it the parent's fault for letting them participate? Properly handled it could be a fun experience that I would happily let my daughter participate in with supervision.
