I am posting to the Patch for the first time today to voice my support of Ryan Kauffman, candidate for Oswego Village Board.
I have known Ryan for several years, and my family has built a friendship with his over our mutual love for our town. Like me, Ryan has moved to Oswego with the intention of raising a family and building a life here. It is with this passion for Oswego and his vision for the future in mind that he has decided to run for Village Board.
Ryan believes that to decrease unemployment in Oswego and to revive our local economy, the Village Board needs to partner with businesses instead of treating them as opposition. We need to encourage local businesses to grow here instead of in neighboring towns.
He would like to revive the Oswego Economic Development Corporation with the assistance of the Community Development Director. OEDC was responsible for attracting most of the businesses that you patronize daily, and by reinstating it, the Board will send a message to businesses that Oswego wants them to open up shop here.
Ryan’s experience in business as an accountant will help ensure that our tax money is spent wisely and that our economy grows. With the future of Oswego in mind, I will vote for Ryan Kauffman, and encourage you to do so.
