Letter to the Editor: Voting for the Property Tax Referendum

Please Vote "YES" for Referundum to reduce property taxes and send a message to our local elected officals that we can not sustain another tax increase.
By voting "YES" you are asking that unnecessary and wasteful spending be stopped especially due to the economic climate of today. Your assessment may have gone down, but the taxing levies could shock you in the spring when your actual tax bill comes in the mail. Now is the time to act, VOTE "YES" for the refurendum.
One candidate, Mike Dabney, has already outlined significant budget cuts are possible in the Cororner's Office. With the right attitude on spending, all taxing bodies in Kendall County can reduce their budgets without cutting necessary services. We believe most will not even try unless you vote "YES".
It has beeen reported that the Toftoy people have reached a new low by stealing the "Dabney For Coroner" signs last night. So if Mr. Toftoy is doing such a good job, why do they feel so threatened that they must resort to such shameful behavior?????
