Senator McGuire, who serves on several important committees including, Environment, Appropriations II, Higher Education, Revenue, and Transportation, stated “I am pleased to be here and am encouraged by the signs of manufacturing growth. One thing we can do to encourage growth is to deal with our pension challenges. I hope we will have a vote on pension reform next week in the veto session.”

Additional manufacturing companies present at the breakfast included Norwalk Tank Co,  Dynamic Signals, Advanced Diamond Technology, All American Recycling and Gateway Cable Company. Following the meeting, Senator McGuire took a tour of XTEN Industries, which specializes in injection-molded plastic components for automotive and other manufacturers.

About TMA: 8 small manufacturing companies who thought they could better themselves by associating with one another founded TMA in 1925. Through the years, members established programs and services that would help their businesses grow and prosper, train their employees, and provide medical and retirement benefits. As a result of these efforts, TMA has grown into a 1,000 member not-for-profit organization representing almost 30,000 employees of precision manufacturing and supplier companies throughout Illinois.
