Treasure for Tatiana

In giving of ourselves, we are asked to give of the following: time, talent, and/or treasure.  For this fundraiser, we are asking that you donate a bit of your treasure for Tatiana.

Tatiana Skowronski is currently in the hospital receiving treatment and testing for a brain tumor that is causing a variety of symptoms, including lots of pain.  Her stay may be extended or be broken down into several short stays while they try and determine the best course of treatment for her.  The tumor, thankfully, is benign, however, it is still difficult to treat.  Surgery may ultimately be the best option.  Her mother, Christi Currin, is a single mother of three girls and her income is limited.  We are trying to raise money that can be used for Tiana's medical bills, as well as daily expenses (rent, food, gas, etc.).  This is an effort to raise some money to help offset the astronomical costs of Tatiana's hospital stays and treatment and allow the family to stay in their home.

Tiana is a junior in high school.  With this tumor, Tiana experiences severe pain which makes it difficult for her to attend school regularly or keep a part-time job.  She is attempting to keep up with her studies by completing her homework as she can.  She would like to be able to contribute financially, but it is difficult for her to work.  Christi has to be on stand-by at all times.  She knows that if certain symptoms develop, she needs to get Tiana immediately to the emergency room, because, the tumor can be life threatening.  This makes it difficult for Christi find a job as a medical assistant.  Balancing a work life and her home life has been difficult, and the health of Tiana (and her other two daughter) is of the utmost importance.  It is because of this that we are also looking to help defray the cost of daily living expenses.
