Letter: A Sheriff with Experience

Dear Editor,

I have had the pleasure of knowing Police Chief Dwight Baird for many years. He started at the bottom and worked his way up the ladder. From working undercover in narcotics, to being a street patrolman, to moving into management and finally being named chief, he has never stopped bettering himself or his department.

I think it’s time that Kendall County is represented with the same pride and honor that Oswego has had through Chief Dwight Baird. I want to be able to tell my friends and family outside of Kendall County that I am proud to have a nationally accredited Sheriff that I can count on who has years of experience instead of years served!

It’s way past time for a change. Next, spring remember to vote for professionalism and experience that will change the culture of how business is done in Kendall County. Vote for Dwight Baird for Sheriff.
