Letter: Disorder in the Sheriffs Campaign Office

Send your letters to the editor to natalie.stevens@patch.com.

For the past four years, we have watched scandals within the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.

Since the settlement of the last sexual harassment lawsuit, directed at the Sheriff’s close friend and Deputy Chief Tichava. These lawsuits have cost nearly $400 thousand in taxpayer dollars.

We are now presented with two more sexual harassment lawsuits within the Sheriff’s office. Since November, I have been watching the progress of the lawsuits, as they have nearly identical claims as the last, and noticed that last week papers were filed for an extension on one of the plaintiffs discoveries. Within the extension paperwork request, I found it interesting that for the first time certain names of Sheriff Employees which were two Commanders, one Sargent, and two Deputies came out to be deposed.

One of the Commanders, who I will not name out of good manners, was the close political advisor to Sheriff Randall last go around as the Campaign Chairman. Your Commander, who didn’t receive that position until after his due diligence in getting you re-elected is now being questioned about his knowledge of the sexual harassment that goes on in your office. Sheriff Randall, I am curious to ask you, what is going on in your office?
