It's Time for You to Meet An Inspiring Person

Zach is an extraordinary young man.

I met Zach several years ago when his mother became one of my clients.  Zach is a pretty extraordinary young man who constantly amazes me with his zest for life and positive attitude.

You see, Zach is not just an ordinary 27 year old...he has cerebral palsy.  But, that has never deterred him from having a positive outlook and to keep forging ahead trying to find his "place" in this world.

He's a bright, personable, young guy with a great sense of humor.  I once told him how insightful he was and he responded by saying, "I have an old soul", and I think he's right.   He understand things that many people will never understand in their lifetime.

Through Zach's perspective and gentle demeanor I've been humbled on many occasions.  He's appreciative of everything that's done for him and never seems to voice a negative opinion.  He has a wide perspective even though his world is a little narrower than other young men his age.  That does not deter him though, because his spirit pushes him forward, looking for new opportunities.

When I shared some of my ideas for a Veterans' Day project, he immediately wanted to know if he could participate!  He always looks for ways to be involved.

Zach is currently looking for a job and very much wants to get some everyday structure in his life.   I'd give anything to help him achieve that goal, so if there's anyone out there who might know of an opportunity, please let me know.  Much can be learned about others and ourselves through the eyes of someone like Zach!

I guess you wonder why I'm telling you all of this, but there is a point and that is:  He is the person who encouraged me to blog and told me I had something important to share.  Here's a person who gets up every day and forges ahead, despite his physical limitations.  He's always eager to learn, trying to make a life for himself and a difference in the world.     He has the uncanny ability to be an optimist and a cheerleader for others.

He's also one of the most patriotic young men I know and he never misses an opportunity to tell you how much he loves everyone in our military and our Veterans.  He loves history, and especially the Civil War.  He's quite a special young man, and I thought he's someone you should know.

As always.....live an inspired and patriotic life!
