Just a quick update on the progress of the upcoming memorials in downtown Oswego:

Currently: About 800 pairs
Volunteers needed: 125

As you can see, we have a long way to go. You're all really pitching in, but we need MORE, MORE, MORE! Try to really talk it up so we can have a successful and meaningful day. It will be a memorable day. It takes many hands to do something this powerful. Thank you.

Pat I have the flyer and it will be up at work tonight (Caterpillar) . I hope this spikes the amount of shoes you get for this great event. Also I will post it again on my facebook account and e-mail all my friends and see who can help.
Thanks everyone. It seems to be picking up momentum, but we're not even halfway there yet.
Hopefully Pat you will see a influx of shoes and volunteers since I have posted this at work.
Pat also I think we need to hit up the High schools in town and see what they can do for you and this great cause. I'm thinking with over 2k in kids in each school if we can get 10% of them donating shoes you should land another 400 from both high schools. Maybe some of the great school groups could help out and volunteer. I think we need to e-mail the principals of the schools and see how they can make this happen. Also I'm going to see how I can get this over to Aurora university(my Daughter goes there) and maybe out to waubonsee community college since they are starting their new school year as well. Feel free to one that can help on the Waubonsee Community College if you go there and have the hook-up for events.
