911 Hangup Call Leads Kendall County Cops to Learn $1,000 Theft: Police

An Aurora man lost $1,000 to a thief, police said.

Kendall County cops investigating a 911 hangup call discovered an Aurora man lost $1,000 to a thief, police said.

The 911 call came in about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. Deputies traced it back to the US 30 motel in Oswego and headed over there and spoke with a 54-year-old Aurora man.

"After investigation (the man) related that he was the victim of a theft of one thousand dollars of U.S. currency," police said.

The Kendall County Sheriff's Department says they have no suspects in the case.
