9-Year-Old Hit by Car in Oswego: Police

Police said woman was driving with a suspended registration.

A 9-year-old was taken to Rush-Copley Hospital Saturday after being struck by a vehicle in unincorporated Oswego, Kendall County Sheriff's police said Sunday.

According to police reports, the child was hit at around 7:35 p.m. at Anchor Road and Dolphin Court before being taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, identified by police as 30-year-old Autumn C. Smith, was taken into custody after the crash on a charge of driving on a suspended registration, police said.
