Accident in a No Passing Zone Turns Into Reckless Driving Charge: Sheriff

Tuesday, Nov. 26

Possession of drug paraphernalia, DWLS

Duncan Bennet Newman, 20, of the 1400 block Golden Oaks Parkway, Aurora, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. Orchard Road and Route 30, Bristol, and charged with the possession of drug equipment and driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop, said the Sheriff’s office.

Luis Robert Morales Jr., 19, of the 300 block of Grape Vine Trail, Oswego, was arrested at 10:55 a.m. in the 800 block of John Street at Kendall County Courthouse and charged with the possession of drug paraphernalia after he brought it into the courthouse, said the Sheriff’s office.

Obstructing identification, DWLS

Davien Jones, 27, of the 3200 block of Hoffman Street, Plano, was arrested at 10:37 a.m. at Eldamain and Corneils Road, Bristol, and charged with obstructing identification and driving on a suspended license after he was stopped for speeding, said the Sheriff’s office.

Saturday, Nov. 23

Reckless driving

Johnny Stinson Wilson, 53, of the 200 block of Sweetbriar Street, Plano, was charged following a rollover accident with no injuries that occurred at 3:38 p.m. at Ashe Road and Galena in Bristol. Witnesses on scene said Wilson’s vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and passed on a curve in a no passing zone and swerved to avoid an oncoming car. His vehicle made contact with the gravel shoulder, which caused him to lose control and the vehicle rolled when it entered the ditch. He was issued four citations for: improper overtaking on the left (same direction), improper passing on a curve, disobeying a no passing zone and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was also charged and provided a court date for reckless driving.

DUI

David Louis Quintanilla, 26, of the 200 block of Calumet Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 3:42 a.m. at Route 34 and Bristol Ridge Road, Bristol, and charged with driving under the influence after he was stopped for speeding, said the Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for speeding.

No valid driver’s license

Elizabeth Garcia, 45, of the 1100 block of Constellation Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 5:22 p.m. at Boulder Hill Pass and Seneca, Oswego, and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license after she was stopped for an equipment violation, said the Sheriff’s office.

Warrant

Cameron Terry Olson, 18 of the 300 block of Greenwood Place, Oswego, was arrested at 5:58 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Pembrooke Road, Oswego, and charged with a failure to appear shoplifting warrant after deputies made contact with him, said the Sheriff’s office.

Warrants, DWLS

Autum Lee Houser, 25, of Merrillville, Indiana; and Joseph Terel Lewis, 22, of the 14000 block of Meadow Lane, Plainfield, were arrested at 2:55 a.m. in the 400 block of Route 30, Oswego. Houser, a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested for two outstanding warrants from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office and the Country Club Hills Police Department. Lewis was charged for driving with a suspended license.

Warrant

Dominique Nicole Martin, 23, of the 800 block of Preston Lane, Oswego, was arrested at 8:18 p.m. at her residence and charged with a warrant out of Kendall County for failure to appear, said the Sheriff’s office.
