Suspects in Custody in Family Dollar Armed Robbery: Police

Two men reportedly stuck up the Family Dollar store.

Two men reportedly robbed the Family Dollar store in Montgomery Tuesday night.

Current Incident Notification Services reported that the 1337 Douglas Road store was held up 9 p.m.

The service said two men pulled the robbery. One was wearing a black hoodie and the other a gray hoodie.

Early Wednesday morning, Montgomery Police Chief Daniel Meyers said both suspects were in custody.

"We have recovered the handgun, mask, hoodies [and] gloves from the suspects," Meyers said. He did not immediately release the suspects' names.

Aurora, Oswego and Kane County Sheriff's police assisted at the scene of the robbery, along with the Joliet K-9 unit, according to Meyers.
