Boulder Hill Man Gets 8 Years for Delivering Crack to Undercover Officers

A Boulder Hill man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for unlawful delivery of crack cocaine, Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis said Monday.

Juan J. Solis, 35, of the 0-99 block of Hampton Road, was charged with the crime in June 2010, when he delivered crack to undercover police officers from the Kendall County Cooperative Police Assistant Team, Weis said.

After a month-long investigation, police arrested Solis when he delivered more than $200 of crack cocaine to undercover officers at his home, Weis said.

Solis has a history of drug-related offenses, according to Weis. Most recently, he received a four-year prison sentence in 2004 for unlawful possession with intent to deliver cocaine.

After serving his sentence, Weis said, Solis will be required to serve two years of supervised release.
