Driver Transported After SUV Crashes into Rocks at Portillo's

Vehicle left drive-thru lane and wound up on top of some decorative rocks.

Despite no indication of injuries, a woman was taken to the hospital after her SUV struck some decorative rocks outside the Oswego Portillo's restaurant, police said.

The single-car mishap happened at about 4:29 p.m. at the restaurant, 2810 Route 34, Capt. Jeff Burgner said.

Burgner said the driver was pulling out of the drive-thru and "somehow managed to drive up over the grass" onto the rocks.

On Friday night, Burgner did not know whether the woman received any citations but said it was unlikely since the incident happened on private property.
