Monday, Jan. 13

Retail theft

Two female juveniles, both 16, were arrested at 5:15 p.m. in the 2500 block of Route 34 and charged with retail theft under $300, said Oswego police.

Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, cannabis

Anthony E. Ortiz, 21, of the 200 block of Boulder Hill Pass, Montgomery; and Alexander C. Thompson, 20, of the 3700 block of Wolf Road, Oswego, were arrested at 9:11 p.m. in the 4000 block of Route 34, said Oswego police. Ortiz was charged with the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and Thompson was charged with the unlawful possession of cannabis.

Theft

Oswego police are investigating a theft of a portable generator from a pick-up truck that occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. in the 2500 block of Route 34.

Saturday, Jan. 11

Theft

Oswego police took a theft report that occurred at L.A. Fitness between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. A black Jansport backpack valued at $835 was stolen from the basketball courts.

Retail theft

Joel Cruz Michel, 29, of the 0-99 block of Grace Court, Aurora, was arrested at 8:51 p.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34 and charged with retail theft of $80.17, said Oswego police.

Retail theft, possession of alcohol

Isaiah M. Thurmond, 18, of the 700 block of Gillette Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34 and charged with retail theft under $150 and the unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor, said Oswego police.

Hit and run

Oswego police took a report for a hit and run thtat occurred overnight between Jan. 10 – Jan. 11 at Brockway and Boulder Hill Pass. The victim’s vehicle was parked on the street when it was struck. 

Warrant

Marcuss S. Adams, 22, homeless, was arrested at 8:32 a.m. at Polk and Jackson on a warrant, said Oswego police. 

Friday, Jan. 10

Criminal damage to property

Oswego police took a report of criminal damage to property that occurred overnight on Jan. 10 – Jan. 11 in the 0-99 block of West Washington. Two tires on the victim’s vehicle were slashed.

Warrant

Elliott K. Adams, 31, of the 1000 block of Route 30, Oswego, was arrested at 8:12 a.m. at Route 30 and Treasure on a failure to appear warrant, said Oswego police.

Retail theft, possession of alcohol

Alan E. Gonzalez, 20, of the 1600 block of Blackwell, Aurora, was arrested at 7 p.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34 and charged for retail theft and the unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor, said Oswego police.

Hit and run

Oswego police are investigating a hit and run traffic crash that occurred at an unkown time at Oswego East High School. Damages are under $1,500 and no injuries reported.

Disorderly conduct

A male juvenile, 16, was arrested at 2 p.m. at Oswego High School and charged with disorderly conduct, said Oswego police.

Thursday, Jan. 9

Warrant

Pascual M. Cuazitl-Naxi, 29, of the 700 block of Lebanon Street, Aurora, was arrested at 8 p.m. in the 3500 block of Route 34 on a warrant for battery, said Oswego police.

Wednesday, Jan. 8

Retail theft

Oswego police are investigating a retail theft of $2,022 that occurred at 10:10 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Templeton Drive. A male and female reportedly entered the business and the female proceeded to distract the staff while the male took miscellaneous merchandise.

Identity theft

Oswego police took a report for identity theft that occurred at 4:14 p.m. in the 500 block of Terrace Court.
