Fire Causes over $50,000 in Damages to Oswego Township Home

No one was reported injured in Wednesday night fire.

The Oswego Fire Protection District was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 5:52 p.m. on Wednesday.

A tri-level single-family residence in the 100 block of Dolores Street, Oswego, was found to have smoke showing and fire appearing through the roof, said Battalion Chief Dan Schiradelly. The fire was found to be located in the attic.

Schiradelly said the companies began an “aggressive interior attack” to prevent the fire from spreading within the residence. The fire was under control within 15 minutes.
