Forgery

Oswego police are investigating a forgery of checks that occurred at 12:20 p.m. in the 3200 block of Orchard Road. $2,900 was reported stolen when the two forged checks were presented to a bank.

Oswego police took a report for a residential burglary that occurred at 12 p.m. in the 600 block of Lincoln Station Drive. $6,500 was reported in losses.

Monday, Dec. 30

Warrant, obstructing identification, parole violation

Jarrean L. Harvey, 21, of the 800 block of North Edgebrook Drive, DeKalb, was arrested at 8:43 p.m. at Treasure and Raintree on a warrant for armed robbery and also charged with obstructing identification and a violation of his parole, said Oswego police.

Theft

Oswego police are investigating a theft that occurred between 2:53 p.m. and 3:39 p.m. at L.A. Fitness. An iPhone 5S was reported stolen.

Deceptive practice

Oswego police are investigating a case of deceptive practice that occurred on Dec. 15 in the 100 block of North Main Street.

Sunday, Dec. 29

DUI

Lisa E. Sharpe, 47, of the 500 block of Truman Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 12:37 p.m. at Chicago and Madison and charged with driving under the influence after she was involved in a 2-car accident, said Oswego police. She was additionally cited for driving too fast for conditions and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident. No one was reported injured in the accident.

No valid driver’s license

Humberto Puenes, 37, of the 200 block of Fifth Street, Aurora, was arrested at 11:26 p.m. at Route 34 and Kendall Point and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said Oswego police.

Domestic battery

Kevin J. Pavlina, 54, of the 500 block of Arbor Lane, Oswego, was arrested at 1 a.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery, said Oswego police.

Saturday, Dec. 28

Residential burglary

Oswego police are investigating a residential burglary that occurred at an unknown time in the 400 block of Barnaby Drive. $290 worth of gift cards and cash were stolen.

Theft

Oswego police took a report for theft that occurred at 4:30 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Washington Street. $100 was reported stolen.

No valid driver’s license, child restraint

Maria S. Gonzalez, 34, of the 600 block of Wheeler Road, Plainfield, was arrested at 9:21 a.m. at North Merchants and West Merchants and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said Oswego police. She was also cited for a violation of a child restraint.

Possession of cannabis, drug paraphernalia

Jacob Cullinan, 24, of the 10700 block of South Natchez Avenue, Worth, was arrested at 11:15 a.m. at Douglas and Longbeach Road and charged with the unlawful possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia, said Oswego police.

Friday, Dec. 27

Hit and run

Oswego police are investigating a hit and run that occurred at 5:39 p.m. at Fifth Street and Route 34. An unknown maroon minivan struck the victim’s vehicle on the driver’s side and then continued eastbound on Route 34 without providing information. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Oswego police department.

Violation of order of protection

Edgar Claubio, 23, of the 1900 block of Light Road, Oswego, was arrested at 4:55 p.m. in the 100 block of Linden Drive and charged with a violation of an order of protection, said Oswego police.
