Thursday, Oct. 10

Possession of cannabis, drug paraphernalia

Wesley J. Gibson, 22, of the 2000 block of Water Tower Place, Crest Hill, was arrested at 2:12 a.m. at Main Street and Jefferson and charged with the possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia, said Oswego police. He was also cited with improper lane usage.

Suzanne M. Bursow, 53, of the 300 block of Cosrade Lane, Oswego, was arrested at 9:21 a.m. at the Oswego Police Department on a failure to appear warrant, said Oswego police.

Wednesday, Oct. 9

Unlawful debit card usage

Oswego police took a report for the unlawful use of a debit card that occurred at an unknown time. The victim reported someone used her debit card to make unauthorized purchases online for a loss of $840.54.

Retail theft

Stephen A. Haines, 25, of the 200 block of Willington Way, Oswego, was arrested at 7:50 a.m. at the Oswego Wal-Mart and charged with retail theft of less than $300, said Oswego police.

No valid driver’s license

Alexander Zavala, 30, of the 1000 block of Symphony Drive, Yorkville, was arrested at 11:52 p.m. at Route 34 and Kendall Point and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said Oswego police.

Theft

Oswego police took a report for a theft that occurred at 9:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Devoe Drive. The victim reported her iPhone stolen from inside her car that was parked in her garage.

Tuesday, Oct. 8

No valid driver’s license

Eduardo Reyes, 25, of the 1000 block of Homer, Aurora, was arrested at 9:10 a.m. at Douglas and Old Post and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said Oswego police.  He was also cited for speeding.

Monday, Oct. 7

Retail theft

Oswego police took a report of a retail theft of $7,490 that occurred at an unknown time and date in the 0-99 block of Main Street.

Retail theft, criminal trespass to property

Dale R. Swinford, 61, of the 2000 block of Farmington Lakes Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 4:24 p.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34 and charged with retail theft of $12.97 and criminal trespass to property, said Oswego police.

Sunday, Oct. 6

Theft

Oswego police are investigating a reported theft that occurred between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the 100 block of North Adams Street. The victim’s ’98 Dodge Caravan was taken from an apartment complex parking lot without authorization.

Criminal damage to property

Oswego police took a report for criminal damage to property that occurred between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Plank Drive by the soccer fields. The victim reported an unknown person damaged his vehicle.

Saturday, Oct. 5

Possession of drug paraphernalia, cannabis

Matthew C. Bommelman, 19, of the 700 block of Cornell Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. at Route 34 and Pearces Ford and charged with the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and cannabis, said Oswego police.

No valid driver’s license

Samuel T. Yang, 20, of the 800 block of South Loucks, Aurora, was arrested at 9:25 p.m. at Hill and Goodwin and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said Oswego police. He was also cited with failure to wear a seatbelt.

Friday, Oct. 4

Warrant

Wayne A. Howard Jr., 31, of the 100 block of Shin Creek Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. at the Oswego Police Department on a warrant for violation of order of protection, said Oswego police.

Retail theft

  • Oswego police took a report for retail theft that occurred on Oct. 2 at Merchants Drive and Fernwood. $8.61 was reported as loss.
  • Kristina S. Waters, 28, of the 300 block of Bloomfield Circle East, Oswego, was arrested at 2:38 p.m. in the 2500 block of Route 34 and charged with felony retail theft, said Oswego police. The amount stolen was listed as $149.52.

No valid driver’s license

  • Ismabl Pillado, 22, of the 700 block of Grove Street, Aurora, was arrested at 11:21 p.m. at Hill Avenue and O’Brien Way and charged for driving without a valid license, said Oswego police. He was also cited for having suspended registration, only one headlight, no insurance, loud exhaust and no plate light.
  • Alejandra Rizo, 28, of the 800 block of North Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 9:45 p.m. at Route 34 and Route30 and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said Oswego police.

Thursday, Oct. 3

Hit and run

Oswego police are investigating a hit and run accident that occurred at 2:58 p.m. at Route 34 and Heritage Drive. Three units were traveling west on Route 34 when unit 2 and 3 stopped in traffic. Unit 1 did not and struck unit 2, which then hit unit 3, causing minor injury to the driver of unit 2. Unit 1 then left the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Oswego Police Department.

Theft

  • Oswego police took a report of theft that occurred at an unknown time in the 2700 block of Route 34. The victim reported someone stole $160 from his office.
  • Oswego police took a report for the theft of an iPhone 5 that was stolen from a gym locker at Oswego High School. The phone is valued at $500.
