Juvenile Charged with Aggravated Battery in Beating at Bus Stop

Two female juveniles were involved in the incident last week.

A 16-year-old female juvenile was arrested in a battery incident last week at a bus stop, said Oswego police.

The incident occurred at 6:41 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Fernwood Road and Pendleton Place at a bus stop bound for Oswego East High School.

Two female juveniles, ages 16 and 15, were involved in the incident.

The 16-year-old was charged with the felony of aggravated battery and also disorderly conduct.

Oswego Police Captain Jeff Burgner said it was upgraded to a felony charge because there was “significant damage” to the victim.

The 15-year-old juvenile was transported to Rush Copley Hospital via ambulance for injuries.

The offending juvenile was transported to Kane County Juvenile Center.
