Woman driving ATV with child on her lap strikes man seated at picnic table, sending all three to the hospital and the ATV into the creek.

July 18

A Ford Mustang parked at the Fox Valley YMCA was hit, but no one left a note or notified the owner.

Frank Russo, 37, of Route 31 in Oswego, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant out of Kane county in violation of a court order. He had a $5000 bond. He also had a second failure to appear warrant from Aurora Police Department for knowingly damaging property, also on $5,000 bond.

Sonia Kowalski, 26, of Titus Drive in Yorkville was arrested for driving while liscense suspended as a result of a traffic stop. She was also cited for operating an uninsured vehicle.

July 19

Alfredo Betancourt-Cabeza, 33, of Beauwick Drive, Montgomery, was arrested for domestic battery.

July 20

A woman carrying a four-year-old on her lap while driving an ATV crashed into a picnic bench when to child grabbed the throttle. The crash occured at Hide Away Lakes, 8045 Van Emmon Road, Oswego. A man who was seated on the bench was struck. All three were transported to Rush Copley Hospital with minor injuries. The ATV overturned into a creek.

July 21

A rear-end collision rolled a vehicle on Route 71 at Winding Creek Road about 5:30 p.m. Jennifer Heizer, 37, of Broadway Street in Newark was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and driving without insurance. Police believe she, along with a juvenile passenger, struck the rear of another vehcile, who was stopped waiting to turn left onto Winding Creek Road off Route 71. Heizer's vehicle rolled, then stopped on it's wheels. Route 71 was closed for an hour for clean up and investigation.
