Oswego

Feb. 9 David C. Barnes, 23, of the 200 block of Bluegrass, Oswego, was arrested at 12:25 a.m. at Routes 34 and 71 and charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage/following too closely, said Oswego police.

Montgomery

Feb. 10 Daniel Timothy Benavides, 22, of the 2200 block of Margaret Drive, Montgomery, was arrested at 2:54 a.m. at Route 30 and Briarcliff Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. He was originally stopped for defective exhaust, and additionally charged for driving with no insurance.

Yorkville

Feb. 8 Police arrested 49-year-old Jose Martinez of Berwyn for DUI and illegal transportation of alcohol. After pulling Martinez during a traffic stop at about 12:30 a.m., police discovered an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, according to reports. He was taken to the station and charged.
