Children Injured in Alleged DUI Accident: Sheriff's Blotter

Sunday, Jan. 27

No valid driver’s license

Florentino Garcia, 31, of the 100 block of North Farnsworth Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 12:10 a.m. in the 500 block of Route 30 and charged for driving without a valid license, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Hit and run

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported hit and run that occurred at 7:20 p.m. in the 0-20 block of Shore Drive, Oswego. A silver 4-door vehicle struck a pair of mailboxes and left the scene.

Kathleen Ann Sautter of the 0-99 block of Saugatuck Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 5:04 p.m. at her residence and charged with an in-state warrant out of Kendall County for harassment by telephone, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Thursday, Jan. 24

DUI, traffic crash

David John Marema, 51, of the 2100 block of Gardner Circle West, Aurora, was arrested at 10:52 p.m. at Wolf Road and Route 30 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and a traffic crash, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Deputies responded to the scene for a vehicle crash, and found that Marema was driving under the influence and disobeyed a traffic control device. The vehicle he hit had four occupants, with the two juveniles, 10 and 12, transported to Rush Copley for injuries.

In-state warrant

Austin M. Moon, 22, of the 0-99 block of Ingleshire, Montgomery, was arrested at 9:25 p.m. at his residence and charged with an in-state warrant out of DuPage County for failure to appear on a traffic charge, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Deputies originally responded to the area to investigate a theft and burglary.

Burglary from a motor vehicle

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported burglary from a motor vehicle that occurred sometime overnight between Jan. 23 and Jan. 24 in the 0-99 block of Ingleshire, Montgomery. Someone reportedly siphoned fuel from a vehicle parked in the driveway. About a week prior someone entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a turbo boost gauge. 

Tuesday, Jan. 22

In-state warrant

Jonathan Isaiah Blackwell, 22, of the 1700 block of Trails End Lane, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 1:35 a.m. at Briarcliff Road and Route 30 and charged with a warrant out of Will County for failure to appear for unlicensed and no insurance charge, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Domestic battery

The Kendall County Sheriff’s office is investigating a domestic battery that was reported as happening at 2:15 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Fox Glen Court in Kendall township.

Aggravated battery

The Kendall County Sheriff’s office is investigating a reported aggravated battery that occurred on Jan. 16 in the 0-99 block of Hillstone Road, Oswego.

Monday, Jan. 21

Identity theft

The Sheriff’s office is investigating a reported identity theft that occurred on Jan. 12 in Yorkville in which an unauthorized account was opened under the victim’s name.
