14-Year-Old Found Passed Out; Charged with Underage Drinking: Sheriff's Blotter

Sunday, Feb. 10

DUI

Daniel Timothy Benavides, 22, of the 2200 block of Margaret Drive, Montgomery, was arrested at 2:54 a.m. at Route 30 and Briarcliff Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. He was originally stopped for defective exhaust, and additionally charged for driving with no insurance.

Unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor

A male juvenile, 14, of Montgomery, was found at 4:45 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Springdale Road, Montgomery, and was charged with the unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Deputies responded to a report of a male juvenile intoxicated and unresponsive.The juvenile was transported to Rush Copley Hospital due to his condition.

Friday, Feb. 8

Domestic battery, in-state warrant

Two female juveniles were arrested at 11:00 p.m. at Harbor Drive, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. One was arrested for domestic battery, the incident that the deputies had responded to. The other was arrested with an outstanding warrant out of Kendall County for failure to appear on a probation violation.

Hit and run

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating reported hit and run that occurred at 10:56 p.m. at Harvey Road and Wolf Road. The unknown subject left the scene of a hit and run vehicle accident with damage.

Thursday, Feb. 7

No valid driver’s license

Ricardo Barrera, 60, of the 0-99 block of Circle Drive East, Montgomery, was arrested at Circle Drive East and Longbeach and charged for driving without a valid license, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. The traffic stop was initiated as the vehicle failed to signal to turn left and failed to make a complete stop at a stop sign.

Theft

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported theft that occurred at an unknown time in the 2600 block of Bristol Ridge Road, Bristol. A hand gun valued at $400 was reported missing from the residence.

Wednesday, Feb. 6

Battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported delayed battery that occurred at 7:20 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Ridgefield where a complainant said they were punched in the face. An investigation revealed that the two involved were arguing over a text message conversation regarding an incident that occurred between their children. Both individuals admitted to being involved in a physical altercation, but did not want to pursue charges.

Domestic battery, criminal damage to property

Laura Lyn Simmons, 33, of the 0-99 block of Timberview Lane, Yorkville, was arrested at 2:15 p.m. at her residence and charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property.

Tuesday, Feb. 5

Possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis

Lauren Rose Capone, 19, of the 200 block of Wollmington Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 11:59 p.m. at Fernwood Road and Winrock Road and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Capone was originally stopped for having no front registration plate.

Domestic battery

Randall Anthony Massiah, 32, of the 7500 block of Galena Road, Bristol, was arrested at 1:30 p.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Massiah reportedly push his girlfriend’s head down into the couch and refused to let her up. The victim sustained minor injuries to her neck during the altercation.

Deceptive practice

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of deceptive practice that occurred on Dec. 12, 2012. A victim reportedly sent in $8,669.28 to a mortgage company to modify their mortgage. The victim has since found the documents and company are fraudulent.
