Local Man Charged for Burglary of Oswego Church

Approximately $3,000 worth of damage was reported inside of Oswego Presbyterian Church during the burglary.

Back in June the Oswego Presbyterian Church was burglarized overnight.

After a two month investigation, which included releasing photos of the suspect (see above), a local man has been charged, said Oswego police.

Brian I. Linn, 39, of the 1000 block of Hampton Lane, Yorkville, was charged with burglary in reference to the incident.

On June 6, 2013 a burglary took place overnight at the Oswego Presbyterian Church, 1976 Route 25, Oswego. The suspect caused approximately $3,000 worth of damage inside the building and also stole an undisclosed amount of currency and checks, said Oswego police.

During the course of the investigation, Linn was identified as the suspect. An arrest warrant has been issued and a bond was set by a Kendall County judge at $50,000 with 10 percent to apply.

The Illinois Department of Corrections reported that Linn was on parole at the time of the offense.
