Man Attempts to Flee Police After Being Signaled for Improper Turn: Sheriff

Eladio Lopez, 29, incurs multiple citations in addition to outstanding warrants.

At 2:02 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, a Kendall County Sheriff deputy attempted to stop a vehicle at Route 30 and Proclamation Drive for an improper turn.

Rather than stopping, the vehicle tried to elude the officer, who engaged in a brief pursuit before stopping the vehicle.

Eladio Lopez, 29, of the 200 block of North Loucks Street, Aurora, was arrested and charged with fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer as well as driving with a suspended license, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Other driving citations given for the incident included failure to signal when required, disobey a stop sign, improper turn and the illegal transportation of alcohol.

Lopez was also found with two failure-to-appear warrants out of the Aurora Police Department. One was for driving under the influence of alcohol and the other was for driving with a suspended license. 

His scheduled court date is January 15, 2013 at the Kendall County Court House.
